Let’s face it, the days of printed newspapers are numbered. According to these statistics from the Pew Research Center, revenue from print newspaper advertising fell from over $47 billion in 2005 to less than $19 billion in 2012. The majore media outlets are making a big push for online content, and rightfully so. The costs associated with printing and distributing newspapers is astronomical, and with the proliferation of smart phones, tablets, e-readers, and the like, more people have access to online content then ever before.
That being said, it begs the question: who’s leading the charge in online news traffic? We all know the big names in the newspaper business: the New York Times, the Houston Chronicle, the Washington Post, etc. But who are the biggest online sources of news? You might be surprised when you check out this article recently published by eBiz MBA.
